Nico (they/them) is a queer nonbinary writer of fantasy, romance, and horror. They like stories with at least a little bit of magic lurking on the edges and tend to write about finding oneself and one’s purpose in life, learning to find joy in everyday things, and sweet-but-spicy love stories where two people face down the horrors life throws at them together.

They are also an artist and illustrator (as Nik Sylvan) specializing in linocut, pen & ink, watercolour, and digital illustration. They love to create images inspired by the natural world, mythology, folklore, and fantasy literature and have been known to illustrate their own stories and novels.
