Luna Bow doesn’t write feel-good stories. She writes about pain, documenting fractures in an attempt to make sense of them, and of herself. Writing became her sharpest tool for understanding herself, her world, and the people in it. With a style rooted in a long experience of trauma, guilt and grief, her work turns toward the things we usually look away from. She believes that comfort can be a cage, pain can be a performance, and that being honest about one’s own chaos is critical in overcoming the barriers we build inside our own minds.
When she isn’t deconstructing the human condition or questioning her own sense of self, she’s a multimedia artist, media technology student, and an advocate for queer and mentally ill students at her university and beyond.
Her work is a refusal to sugar-coat the experience of being alive in an increasingly borrowed world.
