Appears In:

Lisa Timpf’s work experience has ranged from human resources and corporate communications to farm labor and stints as a sportswriter and an assembly line worker. A graduate of McMaster University’s Physical Education program, Lisa also took several English and philosophy courses while attending university. Her work and life experiences, as well as her interest in nature, pets, and science, often find their way into her writing.

Watching Star Trek: The Original Series and reading novels by Andre Norton, Robert A. Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Piers Anthony, and others sparked Lisa’s lifelong interest in science fiction and fantasy. After her retirement in 2014, Lisa began writing science fiction and fantasy poetry and fiction, as well as reviewing speculative-themed, and other, books.

Lisa’s speculative fiction has been published in a number of anthologies, magazines, and zines, including This is Your Bike on Plants, To Every Dog His Day, Electric Spec, and Home for the Howlidays. When not writing, Lisa enjoys bird-watching, organic gardening, and walking her cocker spaniel-Jack Russell mix Chet.
