Born in California, Aeryn migrated with their family to the mountains of Northern Utah at the ripe old age of five. Between summer vacations back to the desert and growing up in the mountains, they fell in love with ignoring all of that in favor of digesting every book they could get their hands on. Gravitating toward fantastical settings with animalistic characters, their early works–contained solely in long-forgotten notebooks and the margins of homework that was never turned in–largely featured magical creatures and invented languages along with symbolic themes and general whimsy. Aeryn still lives in Utah with their roommates, three cats and one human-passing person.
