Mike has had more than 150 audio plays produced in the U.S. and overseas.

He’s won The Columbine Award and a dozen Moondance International Film Festival awards in their TV pilot, audio play, short screenplay, and short story categories.

His prose has appeared in many magazines and more than two dozen anthologies.

In 2025, his short screenplay Heat was a finalist in the Filmmatic Sci-Fi/Fantasy Awards (Season 3); his TV pilot script Milly Foster, Macabre Investigator was a quarterfinalist in the Filmmatic Horror Screenplay Awards (Season 9); Solutions, Inc. (another TV pilot script) was a quarterfinalist in the Creative Screenwriting Pilot Screenplay Competition; and his short screenplay The Price of Friendship and his screenplay Die Laughing were semifinalists in the Filmmatic Short Screenplay Awards (Season 10) and the New York International Screenplay Awards, respectively.

In 2020, Die Laughing was also a semifinalist in the Unique Voices Screenplay Competition from Creative Screenwriting Magazine. The following year, Mike’s TV pilot script The Bullying Squad was a quarterfinalist in the Emerging Writers Genre Screenplay Competition.

Since 2023, he has served as a judge for the audio drama entries submitted to the Atlanta Fringe Festival.

Mike is the writer of two short films, Dark Chocolate and Hotline.

In 2013, he won the inaugural Marion Thauer Brown Audio Drama Scriptwriting Competition. In 2020, he came in second. For several of the in-between years, he served as a judge.
